Chiesetta dei Santissimi Pietro e Paolo Apostoli

The historian Tarcisio Venuti dates its construction to around the 14th–15th century, although the first documentary mention is from 1533. The building underwent a radical transformation after the earthquakes of 1511 and 1513, inspired by the Slovenian style of the Škofja Loka school, like many other chapels in the area, but with features unparalleled for the beauty of the small sculptures, placed in the keystones and side lunettes, with figurative corbels supported by elegant little columns. It was further restored in the eighteenth century; in 1777 Francesco Colussi made the altarpiece with the Nativity in the center and Saints Peter and Paul at the sides. The wooden altar, seventeenth‑century, has an altarpiece depicting the Virgin enthroned with Child; on the base, in an oval, the Adoration of the Magi, made by Girolamo Ridolfi of Cividale in 1585.
