Chiesetta di San Lorenzo Martire
Even just the panoramic setting on the steep meadows and terraces overlooking the Natisone valley and the Stupizza gorge would justify a visit to this little church, especially during the lively patronal feast in August.
The building is ancient and dates back to the 13th century, but the construction of the central body should be considered late-Romanesque. The presbytery is square, higher than the nave, and was perhaps added at the end of the 18th century. The altar, in marble and stone, has on the sides two “silhouette” figures depicting Saint Lawrence and Saint Joseph.
