Ascent to Matajur! We set off from Pulfero to explore the small hamlets of Rodda. A forest road leads us to Mersino and the panoramic church of San Lorenzo, where we take CAI trail 725 up to the uninhabited Mersino Alpine huts. Across Matajur’s wide meadows, rich with raspberries, we finally reach Rifugio Pelizzo.

How to get to the starting point
The beginning of the third stage of the Cammino can be reached by private means (car, bike, on foot) or by using the intercity bus service departing from Cividale.
