A stage dedicated to the chapels of San Leonardo could not be missing! We thus descend once again to the valley floor, passing through Iainich, Altana, and the main village. After encountering the Cosizza stream again, we follow it for a stretch before re-entering the woods. A centuries-old pilgrimage trail will lead us to one of the symbols of the Path and of regional Christianity: the ancient Marian Sanctuary of Castelmonte.

How to get to the starting point
The start of the eighth stage of the Path can be reached by private means (car, bicycle, or on foot), or by using the TPL FVG regional bus service departing from Cividale.
