From Cividale we ascend the left bank of the Natisone river along the Alpe Adria Trail. At Purgessimo, leaving the Alpe Adria Trail, we reach the magnificent gorge of Ponte San Quirino. From there, having crossed the Natisone, we head toward Vernasso and the chapel of San Bartolomeo, then cross the river again to reach the chapel of San Quirino in San Pietro al Natisone. We continue along the valley floor, passing the chapels of Sorzento and Ponteacco, concluding the stage in Tiglio.
